Yellow Cab of Silicon Valley will be providing free rides to and from polling places on Nov. 6 for any voter that needs a ride. The “free ride to the polls” program should be scheduled in advance through the Yellow Cab of Silicon Valley call center: 408-777-7777 for South Bay, and 650-999-9999 for the Peninsula.

“It is very important to us that people vote today,” stated Larry Silva, president and general manager, Yellow Checker Cab. “But there are a lot of citizens that may have issues with transportation that result in their inability to get to their polling place. This is Yellow Checker Cab’s contribution to help ensure that every voter gets their vote in on November 6th.”

Polls are open Tuesday, November 6, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. All free cab rides must be scheduled in advance, no later than 8:00 p.m. on Monday Nov. 5th, through the Yellow Cab of Silicon Valley call center, and please reference “free rides to the polls” to the customer service representative. Callers must provide their home address and the location of their polling place; the driver will wait up to 30 minutes while the passenger votes and then drive them back to their home.
